Best Accelerated Private Pilot Training

Paragon Flight is a premiere source of pilot training, including the best accelerated private pilot program. We are FAA-approved under FAR Part 141 and Part 61. Established in 2006, Paragon Flight prepares pilots from all over the globe and offers various training programs.

Best Accelerated Private Pilot TrainingThe headquarters and primary flight training facility for Paragon Flight is in Page Field Airport (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL. We also have satellite locations at Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL, and LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA. We employ experienced and skilled aviators as flight instructors, Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), and a world-class curriculum developed by Jeppesen, a subsidiary of Boeing. We provide stand-out experiences based on our commitment to excellence, a quality that brings pilots back to Paragon with every new aviation credential pursuit.

Begin with your Private Pilot License (PPL). It’s the starting point for all pilots, recreational and professional. If you continue with instrument training, multi-engine training, or commercial licensing, we can provide all those programs and more.

Our entire structure rests on the understanding that different student pilots have different circumstances and goals. We aim to curate programs for each student, and as a dually authorized flight school, we can do so.

If your learning style or financial resources require that you participate in a Part 141 highly-structured training course, we offer that. If your schedule demands the flexibility of a Part 61 course, we can also accommodate that demand. Generally, the Private Pilot License (PPL) path follows the following stages:

  • Starting Point – Discovery Introduction Flight and On-Boarding Meeting

This “mini-lesson” allows students to understand what flight school will be like before committing. You’ll have a short lesson, a 45-minute fight where you may have the opportunity to operate the aircraft, and a debrief afterward.

If you choose to proceed with training, you’ll then sit down with a flight instructor and hammer out the details of your program, including goals, scheduling, and financial requirements.

  • Stage 1 – Fundamentals of Flight Training (20-30 Hours of Flight Time)

The first stage is the longest. You’ll learn the basics of aviation during this stage, including the vocabulary, flight principles, airport and airspace policies, radio and communications information, weather impacts, FAA regulations and rules, checklist applications, and flight maneuvers like take-off and landing.

Before proceeding to the next stage, you’ll need to complete a “Stage Check” so that we can verify you’re ready for the next stage, having mastered the expectations of the first stage.

  • Stage 2 – Advanced / Solo Flight Training (10-15 Hours of Flight Time)

The second stage will see you strive toward flight mastery, including landings and cross-country navigation. You’ll complete another “Stage Check” at the end of this stage.

  • Stage 3 – Examination and Testing (10-15 Hours of Flight Time)

The last stage will include your completion of final solo flights and preparing for the FAA examinations. We’ll administer an End of Course (EOC) flight similar to the FAA examinations so that you can be confident in your readiness.
