To operate as a commercial pilot, you’ll likely want to earn a series of licenses and ratings, including:

  • Private Pilot License (PPL)
  • Instrument Flight Rating (IFR)
  • Commercial License, Single-Engine (CSEL)
  • Commercial License, Multi-Engine (CMEL)
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).

If you have full-time availability and a strong work ethic, consider participating in the P3 Professional Pilot Program. You’ll be able to accomplish all of the above credentials in 38 short weeks.

Our aircraft fleet for training includes all Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), equipped with Glass Cockpit Technology and advanced avionics, 2022 models and newer. Equipment within the fleet consists of the Piper PA28 “Pilot” for single-engine training, the PA-44 for multi-engine training, the Cirrus SR20 for primary instruction, transitions and differences training, high-performance endorsements, and rentals, and the ALSIM Flight Simulator for a super realistic experience of training in simulations of various aircraft.

The certification to act as a flight instructor is optional for becoming a commercial pilot. Still, it can be an ideal entry point into the profession for several reasons. First, pilots will have a role working in aviation. Next, their time in the cockpit will count toward the 1,500 flight hours required before applying with an airline. Finally, the role allows pilots to work on their skills while sharing their passion with others. Paragon Flight offers a preferential eye for flight instructor applicants who completed our P3 Program.
