About Paragon Flight
Paragon Flight was established in 2006 in Fort Myers, FL, at Page Field Airport (FMY). Our primary location still calls this space home. Still, we’ve also expanded, offering flight training at the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL, and the LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA. We’re well known in the aviation world for making premiere pilots ready for service in whatever capacity they seek. Part of this success is due to our location; we offer 300+ days of ideal weather for training every year, access to tower-controlled runways, and train in airspaces with minimal congestion.
We use the highest quality training equipment with a new, impeccably maintained fleet comprehensively outfitted with glass cockpit technology. The fleet includes all of the following aircraft:
- Piper PA28 “Pilot” – single-engine primary flight training
- PA-44 Seminole – multi-engine primary flight training
- Cirrus SR20 – primary training, high-performance endorsements, transition and differences training, and rentals (single or multi-day)
- ALSIM AL172 Simulator – affordable, practical training without leaving the ground.
Have you heard of the AOPA – Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association? If so, you know that recognition by this powerhouse of an aviation advocate means something. We’re honored to have been recognized by them repeatedly over the years for the quality of our instructors and the excellence of our training.
Another factor that makes Paragon Flight stand out is our FAA authorizations. We operate under the authority of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 141 and 61. These dual authorizations let us provide the structure and full-time training of a Part 141 program and the flexibility of a Part 61 program. The one we choose depends on the student’s needs and goals. We curate an individual path for every pilot candidate whom we serve.
As a Part 141 flight school, we can also welcome students using government-backed student loans, international students on an M-1 student visa, and veterans who’d like to use their GI benefits.
The curriculum and the trainers here are also stellar. The Jeppesen curriculum, developed by a subsidiary of Boeing, readies pilots 30% faster than the national average. Few flight schools are selected to use it, but Paragon Flight is proud and fortunate to be one of them.
If money always seems to be the element that holds you back from pursuing aviation, speak with the team here. Our lengthy experience has taught us how to determine which avenues apply to each student and how to secure those resources most efficiently. It has even given us contacts to share as you pursue publicly available monies or personal lending options. We’re here to help in any way we can.

We’re not boasting when we claim to be one of the best in the nation; we’re speaking truth.
