We can also help  you supplement an existing pilot license with instrument rating or multi-engine rating. You can also become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI) here or rack up the flight hours for future applications.

LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC), out of which we operate, is a mid-size airport just outside of the Atlanta airports’ airspace. The positioning is perfectly situated in proximity to Atlanta, Charlotte, Montgomery, and Birmingham. This area has no congestion in the sky related to other aircraft, and the weather is flight-friendly over 300 days of the year! Recently remodeled facilities and a terrific staff and fleet complete the perfect flight training source.

Initial Flight Training Experience

When you come to Paragon Flight for your first lesson, what should you expect? The first lesson will be introductory. You’ll learn procedures, firing up the aircraft, and the basics of flight – taxi, pre-flight run-up, takeoff, climbs, turns, descents, etc. Aerodynamics of the aircraft, how it moves in the sky, will be a focus of the lesson.

Before you take off on your first flight, you will do a run-through of the checklists, pre-flight inspections, and all procedures related to cranking up the aircraft. Once running, the flight instructor will take you through all of the procedures required before the flight and demonstrate how to taxi around the airfield.

The flight itself will probably only be about 45 minutes, but you’ll learn how to apply power, level out, increase speed, and learn about takeoff and landing.

This initial flight, or Discovery Flight, is a great adventure for those who’d like to have the experience or those who aren’t sure about their commitment to flight training.

We can create a custom program for you based on your individual plans and schedule. For instance, if you’d like to become a professional pilot and have a strong work ethic and full-time availability, consider the P3 Program. Within 38 weeks, pilots with no experience can earn their Private Pilot License (PPL), Instrument Flight Rating (IFR), Commercial Single-Engine and Multi-Engine License (CSEL/CMEL), and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) credentials.

If you just need an Instrument Flight Rating or Multi-Engine Add-On, we can accommodate these courses in about a week of study.

Those who have all of the required credentials and need to log flight hours in order to have the 1,500 needed to apply to an airline can come here to Paragon Flight. If you’ve completed the P3 program, we’ll even look at your application to be a flight instructor favorably.
