Paragon Flight operates under FAA approval through Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 61 and 141. Part 61 schools are able to provide flexibility of pacing and schedule while Part 141 schools offer full-time courses that strictly follow prescribed curriculum. Students with career, family, and other schedule-limiting obligations prefer the former, and those who are on a traditional learning path, plan to use GI benefits, or come as an international student on an M-1 Visa.
