Federal Aviation Regulations Parts 141 and 61 Govern Paragon Flight

The FAA oversees flight schools through Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 141 and Part 61. The two parts have differing levels of structure. Part 141 regulations require full-time, strict adherence to the prescribed curriculum, and Part 61 regulations allow for flexibility regarding lesson content and pacing. While the two share ultimate criteria and the checkride will be the same, Part 61 flight school students might experience a faster result with less time in the sky.

We can provide both types of programs here at Paragon Flight because we’re an unusual example of a flight school that has both authorities under Parts 141 and 61.

Approved by the VA and authorized by the FAA FAR Part 141, Paragon Flight offers assistance to veterans through the Montgomery GI Bill, the Post-9/11 GI Bill, and the partnership we’ve established with Liberty University.
