The Process
Here is how the cycle works in practice, from first introduction of a concept through to in-aircraft proficiency
STEP ONE
New concepts are introduced through computer-based training modules, structured online lessons students complete at their own pace, on their own schedule. This is where the bulk of general knowledge is delivered. At Paragon, approximately 70–80% of the general knowledge required for flight training comes through these modules. Students can revisit topics as many times as needed without using any flight time or instructor time

STEP TWO
Once the concept has been introduced, students reinforce it using standards manuals, flashcards, checklists, and one-on-one ground sessions with their instructor. These sessions go deeper, they answer questions, correct misunderstandings, and connect the concept to real-world application before the student ever gets in the aircraft.

STEP THREE
Before applying a skill in the aircraft, students build proficiency in a lower-stakes environment, the classroom, dedicated ground lessons, or the flight simulator. The goal is to reach a level of understanding where the student can begin applying the concept confidently, not hesitantly. This step dramatically reduces the number of repetitions needed in the aircraft itself.

STEP FOUR
Now the student takes the concept into the aircraft, not to learn it, but to practice and refine it. Because the foundation has already been built on the ground, the student can focus entirely on execution and feel. The instructor acts as a coach, not an explainer. Most of the flight time is spent building actual skill rather than covering background the student should already know.

STEP FIVE
After each flight, the lesson is reviewed. What went well? What didn't? If the student struggled with a specific element, that element is isolated and flagged for additional attention. This isn't treated as failure, it's treated as information. Every gap identified in review is an opportunity to close it before it compounds into a larger problem later in training.

Is Paragon Right for You?
PARAGON’S COMMITMENT: We do not believe in sink-or-swim training. If a student is serious, willing to work, and willing to trust the process, Paragon will do everything possible to help them become a safe, confident, and competent pilot.
Flight training is not a commodity. Students are not buying a product off a shelf, they are learning to operate an aircraft safely and professionally. The quality of the environment, instruction, equipment, and support matters enormously.
The students who choose Paragon and succeed here typically share a few things in common.
At Paragon, we sometimes say, and we mean it as a term of endearment, that we are a school of misfits. We serve a lot of students who don’t fit neatly into a one-size-fits-all training environment. Students with jobs. Parents who can only train on weekends. Students who want to immerse for a period, pause, and return. What they have in common is that they want a serious, professional training experience that meets them where they are.
