At the end of the training, when the student checks out with an FAA examiner to earn their license, the elements tested will be the same.
A Part 61 school is ideal for students with part-time availability who need to take a piece-meal approach to their aviation education. Students with full-time availability will often choose a Part 141 program. If the pilot candidate plans to use GI benefits or student loans supported by the government, they must attend a Part 141 school. International students on an M-1 Student Visa must also attend a Part 141 school.
