P3, also known as the Professional Pilot Program, is meant for committed, ambitious, and hard-working participants like you.
Specifically, the requirements to participate in the P3 Program include all of the following:
Does this sound like you? We break the P3 Program into four stages, each culminating in specific credentials earned, all progressing toward your ultimate goal.
This phase is integral to the P3 Program. It lays the foundation for all aviation education and establishes good habits early. If you have an existing private license, you’ll skip this first ten weeks and jump right into the second phase.
The second phase trains pilots to fly in Instrument Flight Rules – when conditions require communication and navigation equipment. We’ll train you to use these tools well and fly safely, skills that you’ll use routinely as a commercial pilot.
Commercial licenses are required before pilots can accept payment for flight services. The third phase of the P3 Program teaches pilots how to fly at a mastery level—the sort you’ll need to haul cargo or passengers.
Finally, we’ll train you to teach others. Working as a flight instructor is an excellent option if you plan to work as an airline pilot. You’ll need 1,500 flight hours before applying, and as a flight instructor, you can count the hours you work while making a living!
