If you love flying and want to share that passion with other pilots in training, learn how to be an excellent Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) at one of the best flight schools in the country, Paragon Flight.

How do you gain any of these credentials?
First, qualify for participation in a flight instructor course at Paragon Flight:
Paragon Flight’s CFI course prepares commercial pilots to teach student pilots. Serving as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is a common entry point into a career as a pilot. The course focuses on the art of teaching, so much of the time is spent on ground training. We offer an ideal environment for all sorts of flight training at Paragon Flight, so pilots can develop skills as flight instructors and find plenty of opportunities to provide flight training right here.
When serving as a flight instructor, you can perfect your skills and understanding of the foundations of aviation, build logged flight hours, share your passion with others, grow in safety, and gain experience. Facing the challenges you’ll experience as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) will also prepare you to behave and communicate professionally.
A Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument (CFII) can provide pilots with the training required to earn an Instrument Flight Rating (IFR). This training will consist of the following components:
Flying with an instrument rating permits pilots to fly in many conditions using Glass Cockpit technology and advanced avionics. Paragon Flight offers a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) fleet to learn and teach these skills.
Flight instructors must have an MEI rating to teach pilots how to fly twin-engine aircraft. These instructors must be able to prepare pilots for all potential emergency and non-emergency situations faced in multi-engine aircraft.
To train as an instrument or multi-engine flight instructor, you must already have a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) credential and certification in the area you want to train to teach.
