Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs)

Aircraft
The aircraft used at Paragon Flight consist of the most appropriate training equipment for use. We equip all of our aircraft with Glass Cockpit technology to make sure that students can adapt to other aircraft easily. The primary training aircraft include the Piper PA28 “Pilot” and the PA-44 Seminole, and the specialty training aircraft include the Cessna T182T Skylane, the Cirrus SR20, the Cirrus SR22 G5/G6, and the ALSIM Flight Simulator.
Jeppesen Curriculum
The Boeing subsidiary, Jeppesen, produces all of the elements needed for training, including software and texts. The system, on average, permits student-pilots to complete training 30% quicker than other programs. Paragon Flight is proud to be selected as an eligible institution to use this curriculum.

Fly Professionally Sooner and Cheaper

Becoming a professional pilot takes time, and it takes money. Finding ways to shave off weeks of training equals dollars saved as well. The P3 Professional Pilot Program does just that. In 38 short weeks, a completely inexperienced novice can progress to being a commercially licensed pilot with flight instructor certification. The program proceeds according to the following schedule:

• 0-10 WEEKS Private Pilot License (PPL)
  • Foundational course
  • Most important part of aviation education
  • Focuses on the development of good habits and aviation best practices
• 11-18 WEEKS Instrument Flight Rating (IFR)
  • Learn to use navigation and communication equipment
    • Aircraft avionics
    • Radios
  • Critical skill for commercial pilots
• 19-30 WEEKS Commercial License, Single Engine & Multi Engine (CSEL & CMEL)
  • Develop skills to mastery level for operation as a professional pilot
  • Earn license for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft
• 31-38 WEEKS Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
  • Learn to teach others to fly
  • Allows you to accrue flight hours

The P3 Program is intense and requires a student with full-time availability and a strong drive. If your present circumstances differ, you can arrange for a custom program that works with your schedule and ambitions. To qualify for the Professional Pilot Program, you’ll need to meet the following prerequisites:

• 18 years old
• High school graduate or GED completion
• One personal and one professional character reference
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Clean criminal background check
• Passed cognitive and behavioral evaluation
• Clean FAA record
• FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate
• Fluent and literate in the English language
• Full-time availability (4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 instructional hours per week)
