In Pursuit of Commercial Pilot Licensing

Before you can accept a single penny for your services as a pilot, you must earn a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). Having this license means you’ve completed training that provides you with mastery-level skills for professional flight and proven those abilities through FAA evaluations.
Paragon Flight offers the flexibility of a Part 61 training program with the pacing and timeline that meets your needs and Part 141 full-time courses for those requiring a more standard learning environment.
In particular, we provide the P3 Professional Pilot Program that allows complete novices to earn a series of credentials, including commercial licensing, in fewer than 10 months.
The P3 Professional Pilot Program Timeline:

• 0-10 WEEKS, Private Pilot (PPL) – a foundational and most important phase of aviation education, provides good habits and best practices development;
• 11-18 WEEKS, Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) – the secondary phase that provides instruction on the use of communication and navigation equipment;
• 19-30 WEEKS, Commercial License, Single Engine & Multi-Engine (CSEL & CMEL) – training to develop accuracy and mastery of flight to commercial expectations for both single- and multi-engine aircraft;
• 31-38 WEEKS, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – the last training phase allows student pilots to develop skills to share their aviation expertise with others. As a professional flight instructor, you can enter the world of commercial aviation, accrue flight hours for further certifications, and share your passion while making a living. Paragon Flight gives those who complete the P3 Program preferential consideration when applying to become a Paragon Flight Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).

Prerequisites for P3 Participation:

• 18 years old, minimum
• High school graduate or GED recipient, with college preferred
• One personal and one professional character reference
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), FAA record, and criminal background check
• Passed behavioral and cognitive evaluation
• FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate
• Fluent, literate, and proficient in the English language
• Full-time availability for 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training each week
• Characteristics of integrity, strong work ethic, and drive.
