Commercial Pilot Salary

To best help aspiring pilots meet the training demands of commercial licensure, we’ve developed the P3 Professional Program. This course allows motivated candidates with NO experience to graduate as a commercially licensed flight instructor in fewer than ten months. The course prioritizes three features:

• Quality of training over quantity
• Leadership and professional characteristics
• Assistance securing financial resources.

The P3 Timeline

• 0-10 WEEKS – PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE (PPL) – the basis for all future aviation studies, permits pilots to fly single-engine aircraft in clear conditions;

• 11-18 WEEKS – INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RATING (IFR) – prepares pilots to fly in IFR conditions using communication and navigation systems;

• 19-30 WEEKS – COMMERCIAL LICENSE, SINGLE & MULTI ENGINE (CSEL/CMEL) – required for pilots to accept compensation for work, prepares pilots to fly on a mastery level as a professional pilot of single-engine and multi-engine aircraft;

• 31-38 WEEKS – CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI) – permits pilots to train new pilots to fly single-engine aircraft.

P3 Prerequisites:

• At least 18 years old
• High school graduate or GED recipient (some college preferred)
• One professional and one personal character reference
• Good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Passed criminal background check
• Good FAA record
• Passed cognitive/behavioral assessment
• FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate
• Full-time availability – 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training weekly
• Characteristics of integrity, drive, and strong work ethic.
