Accelerated Pilot Training in Florida Instead of Michigan
If you’re serious about becoming a pilot and want to get there faster, where you train matters. While Michigan might be the obvious choice for some in the Midwest, more aspiring aviators are heading south for accelerated pilot training in Florida. At Paragon Flight, we’ve built a nationally recognized program in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda that combines ideal flying conditions with expert instruction, advanced equipment, and a clear, fast path to professional certification.
Why Choose Florida?
Michigan has a lot to offer, but year-round flying weather isn’t one of them. Harsh winters, frequent weather delays, and limited flying windows can slow down your training and increase your overall cost.
Paragon’s Florida campuses, on the other hand, enjoy an average of 360 clear, flyable days per year. Because our students spend more time in the air and less time on the ground waiting out snow or ice, they are able to complete training faster and with greater consistency.
Accelerated Programs That Don’t Cut Corners
At Paragon Flight, “accelerated” doesn’t mean rushed. It means efficient, focused, and structured training led by highly qualified instructors, adhering to FAA Part 141 and Part 61 guidelines.
Our Professional Pilot Program (P3) is a full-time, immersive program designed for career-minded students who want to accelerate their training without compromising quality, safety, or confidence in the cockpit. The program allows students with no experience to earn their commercial pilot certifications in as little as 10 months, with a clear progression through:
- Private Pilot License (PPL)
- Instrument Rating (IFR)
- Commercial Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Licenses
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), CFII, and MEI (optional but available)
Recognized by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) as a Distinguished Flight School multiple times, our ongoing commitment to safety, student satisfaction, and overall training excellence is at the forefront of everything we do at Paragon Flight.
Train with the Best, on the Best
Our certified flight instructors are experienced, passionate, and committed to your success. Many are former airline or military pilots, bringing real-world insight to every lesson. Paragon students also train on a state-of-the-art fleet that includes Cirrus SR20s and SR22s, Piper PA-44 Seminoles, and Redbird flight simulators, allowing them to learn in current, relevant aircraft.
Immersive Learning, On the Ground and in the Air
In Florida, learning is exciting and immersive. At Paragon Flight, our students train in controlled airspace at airports that provide real-world experience while remaining accessible to new pilots. Our location in Fort Myers and Punta Gorda means you get exposure to busy airspace, coastal navigation, and a wide range of flight scenarios, all in beautiful weather and a supportive atmosphere.
Florida is also one of the nation’s top aviation hubs. The state’s high volume of flight schools, commercial operations, and aviation businesses creates opportunities for networking, hands-on learning, and post-training career paths.
