Flight lessons for becoming an airline pilot include earning several different credentials along the way. You’ll start by building a foundation and develop greater mastery and experience over time. At Paragon Flight, we offer the P3 Program that allows participants to devote themselves to the pursuit of their dreams and achieve them faster.
Over the course of 38 weeks, the P3 Program will take you from zero experience to commercial pilot status with flight instructor credentials, saving you time and money. The structure of the program features four separate phases. The first is a span of 10 weeks wherein students prepare to earn their Private Pilot Licenses (PPL), and the second is an eight-week period of preparation to earn an Instrument Flight Rating (IFR).
Next, students master the skills needed to fly professionally and earn their Commercial Licenses, single-engine and multi-engine (CSEL and CMEL). The last phase will be to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). When one becomes a commercial pilot, entering the profession as a flight instructor is one of the best ways to log flight time, practice skills, and make a living.
The P3 Program is incredibly intensive, so we require participants to be up for the challenge. Pre-requisites for participation include being 18 years old, a high school graduate or GED recipient, a fluent and literate English speaker, reader, and writer, and able to participate in full-time studies. The course includes 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training every week, so a successful participant will be driven and hardworking. We will need applicants to supply a professional and a personal character reference, pass a criminal background check and a behavioral/cognitive evaluation, and produce an FAA first-class medical certificate. Additional requirements include a good driving record and an FAA record with no incidents. Above all, we want candidates who will succeed professionally, with the integrity and work ethic that requires.
The Paragon Flight Difference
Paragon Flight offers next-level flight training. The curriculum that we use has been developed in partnership with Jeppesen, a subsidiary of Boeing and a master of aviation. These initial trainings will provide pilots with a foundation in weather, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, procedures, and more.
The flight experiences will similarly provide a strong foundation. We provide the best aircraft for training, including the Piper PA28 “Pilot” for single-engine experiences, the PA-44 Seminole for multi-engine training, and the Cirrus SR20 for high-performance endorsements, primary instruction, transition/differences training, and rentals. For simulated training, we also offer use of the ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator. It has ultra-realistic programs, including Glass Cockpit tech, just like our other fleet members.
Come to any of the three Paragon Flight locations for ideal conditions for flight training. We operate in Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL; Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL; and LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA.
