A Clear Path to Becoming a Private Pilot

PPL training at Paragon is divided into three training stages, ensuring consistent progress and measurable results.

Stage 1: Fundamentals of Flight (20–30 flight hours)
Students begin by learning the basics of flight, including aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, communication, weather interpretation, and FAA regulations. This stage concludes with a supervised “Stage Check” to assess readiness for solo flight.

Stage 2: Advanced and Solo Flight (10–15 flight hours)
Building on core skills, students refine their techniques with solo flights and cross-country navigation, gaining the independence and confidence needed for real-world flying.

Stage 3: Testing and Certification (10–15 flight hours)
The final phase focuses on exam preparation, including an End-of-Course (EOC) flight that mirrors the FAA practical exam. Upon passing, students officially earn their Private Pilot License and can fly passengers for leisure or travel.
