Next, you will have to meet the logged flying time requirements associated with the type of aircraft you’ve chosen and the type of commercial work you seek, along with a check-ride with an FAA safety inspector.
The requirements differ depending on whether you have selected a single-engine training course or a multi-engine training course. If you also intend to transport passengers or cargo commercially, you must hold an instrument rating to permit you to fly without restrictions.
