FAA Accreditations

The FAA authorizes flight schools to operate through Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). When you choose a flight school, it’s essential to consider its accreditations. We are fortunate to work with FAR authorization under Parts 61 and 141. These two-fold authorities allow us to provide custom experiences for every student. Being a Part 141 flight school also allows us to welcome international students, those with traditional student loans, and veterans with GI benefits.

Ground Training

The flight school experience begins with building a foundation of knowledge. We use the Jeppesen curriculum, developed in partnership with the Boeing subsidiary. Few flight schools are allowed to use this curriculum, and we’re proud to be one. It allows pilots to complete training 30% faster than the national average and includes all the components you’ll need, including software and manuals.

Practical Flight Training

Flight training at Paragon Flight will include practical experiences in every stage of flight and various conditions, depending on whether you are pursuing or have an instrument rating. The aircraft we provide for training is appropriate for every course. The fleet includes a Piper PA28 “Pilot” for single-engine training, a PA-44 Seminole for multi-engine training, and a Cirrus SR20 for high-performance endorsements, transition/differences training, primary instruction, and rentals. The ALSIM AL17s simulator rounds out our fleet, allowing students to save money and fit in some extra practice.

The entire fleet is Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), so it’s easier to translate the skills learned to today’s aircraft. When you learn to fly using Glass Cockpit technology, you won’t have to go back and learn it later, although we do offer that training as well.

FAA Checkrides

The FAA tests pilots’ understanding and abilities through check rides, where FAA evaluators fly with the candidate and ask questions while monitoring the flying performance. Consider it a driving test for aviators. This examination determines whether you’ll get your license or not. We provide plenty of opportunities to prepare and build confidence throughout training programs.
