Best Schools For Pilots

If you’re intrigued by the idea of becoming a pilot, consider Paragon Flight as one of the best schools for pilots. Whether you want to earn your initial pilot license for personal or professional goals or brush up on established skills, we can provide a custom program designed around your schedule and goals.

Best Schools For PilotsFederal Aviation Regulations (FAR) issued by the FAA govern the operations of flight schools. Part 61 provides pilots with flexibility in training for pilot-hopefuls who require pacing and scheduling that works with the students’ schedules, and Part 141 programs offer highly structured, full-time courses.

The training we’ve provided over the years has allowed us to develop processes and best practices that work well for any aspiring aviator, and we’ve won many awards from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) to prove it. As the leading advocacy group for aviation, the AOPA knows what to look for, and its recognition says a great deal about our capacity for training and our commitment to our students.

The Paragon Flight Difference Is in the Details

Location Prime for Success

The Paragon Flight location is well-positioned for successful flight training experiences. We have three locations. From Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL, to the Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL, or the LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA, the airports we call home have modern facilities and tower-controlled runways along with several practice airfields and proximity to metropolitan areas.

Curriculum Developed for Success

The Jeppesen curriculum has been developed by a subsidiary of Boeing, leaders of the aviation world. The curriculum is entirely computer-based, including all of the software and manuals needed. When compared to the national average time for private pilot training, the curriculum decreases the required time by 30%.

Cooperative Weather for Flight Training

Weather and flight training are closely connected. If the weather doesn’t participate, flight training can’t occur. Paragon Flight’s locations provide over 350 days of appropriate conditions annually, so we can offer flight training all year long.

Appropriate Flight Training Aircraft

The aircraft provided for flight training is as important as the curriculum and location. We offer all of the standard equipment needed, in ideal condition and equipped with advanced avionics. For single-engine flight training, we provide the Piper PA28 “Pilot,” for multi-engine flight training, we offer the PA-44 Seminole, and for specialty training, we have the Cirrus SR20. The Cirrus also provides our students with an excellent aircraft for transition and differences training, earning high-performance endorsements, and opportunities for rentals.

The ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator in our fleet lets our students gain skills without leaving the ground of paying for flight time. It provides very realistic training in an array of models and flight environments.

Ideal Flight Instructors

The Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) on staff here at Paragon Flight are the best of the best. Being a haven for aviation, the area draws pilots from all backgrounds, and our students benefit from the excellent professionals available. Our students receive a best-fit promise for a flight instructor that complements their personalities, learning styles, and plans.
