Phase TwoINSTRUMENT FLIGHT RATING (IFR), (11-18 weeks)

  • Prepares pilots to fly using aircraft avionics systems as well as navigation equipment and tools
  • Allows pilots to fly at higher altitudes and in various conditions
  • A critical skill for every commercial pilot to use

Phase Three – COMMERCIAL SINGLE-ENGINE AND MULTI-ENGINE LICENSE (CSEL/CMEL), (19-30 weeks)

  • Training focused on developing the mastery-level skills required of commercial pilots
  • Allows pilots to operate aircraft in exchange for compensation
  • Includes training for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft

Phase FourCERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI), (31-38 weeks)

  • The final phase of the program and the first step toward a career as a pilot
  • Allows commercial pilots to share their knowledge and skills with students
  • Certified flight instructor positions allow pilots to log flight hours, gain knowledge, hone skills, and make a living.
