We operate as an FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 61 and 141. These authorizations let us provide flexible part-time courses and full-time, highly structured programs at three different locations:

  • Paragon Flight in Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL
  • Paragon Flight in Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL
  • Paragon Flight in LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA.

Training courses available at Paragon Flight include all of the following:

Personal Pilot Pursuits:

  • Private Pilot License (PPL) training – permits pilots to fly single-engine aircraft in clear conditions
  • Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) training – prepares pilots to use navigation and communication tools and aircraft systems in order to be able to fly in instrument required conditions at higher altitudes and when visiblity is limited
  • Multi-Engine License (MEL) training – permits pilots to fly multi-engine aircraft
  • Cirrus Certified Aircraft Training – prepares pilots – private and commercial – to fly Cirrus SR series aircraft in VFR conditions
  • Glass Cockpit training – prepares pilots to fly with Glass Cockpit aviation technology

Professional Pilot Pursuits:

  • Commercial Single-Engine License (CSEL) training – permits pilots to fly single-engine aircraft for compensation
  • Commercial Multi-Engine License (CMEL) training – permits pilots to fly multi-engine aircraft for compensation
  • Airline Transport Pilot certification training – permits pilots to fly for an airline (still requires 1,500 logged flight hours to apply)
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training – trains commercial pilots to train others in single-engine flight
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFII) training – trains commercial pilots to train others in instrument flight
  • Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) – trains commercial pilots to train others in multi-engine flight

Military Pilot Pursuits:

  • Initial Flight Orientation (IFO) – prepares pilots for basic flight training
  • Single Engine Recurrent Training (SERT) – scenario-based training for the improvement of a crew’s cooperation, awareness, cooperation, and safety
  • Rotary Wing to Fixed Wing Transition training – facilitates the transition from commercial helicopter pilot to airline pilot for civilian and military pilots
  • Aircraft Transition and Differences training – facilities the transfer to piloting new aircraft
