Flight School Authorizations

The FAA manages the operations of flight schools through Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). Part 61 dictates how to operate flexibly with one-on-one instruction, part-time scheduling, and student-driven pacing while Part 141 requires a prescribed schedule and syllabus. Most flight schools operate under one Part or the other, but Paragon Flight has both authorizations.

With dual regulations governing our operations, we can provide the right program for every student. We’ve been in business since 2006 and have earned honors from the leading aviation advocate in the country, the AOPA, or Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, many times.

We utilize the Jeppesen curriculum, developed by a subsidiary of Boeing, for training. This program includes every piece of software and hard copy needed and will help students reach their goals 30% faster than the national average.

Part of the speed of our training comes from having excellent aircraft provided. We house a fleet of stellar models, all kept in tip-top condition by FAA-evaluated mechanics. For single-engine training, we rely on the industry standard Piper PA28 “Pilot,” and for multi-engine training, we supply the Piper PA44 Seminole. The all-metal construction and predictable handling provide a safer and more appropriate training experience.

Within our fleet, we also have the Cirrus SR20 for specialty instruction, high-performance endorsements, transition/differences training, and rentals for one day or many. The ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator rounds out our fleet and allows our students to work on their skills without taking out the plane.

Financial Resources for Flight Training

Flight training can be costly. Finding the money to pay for training doesn’t have to be an impossible challenge to meet, though. Students may qualify for government-backed student loans, grants, or scholarships; GI benefits; or personal loans. We understand the process for each and can help you work your way through the process. The contacts we’ve developed over the years can be quite helpful. Ask our team for guidance based upon your situation and plans.
