Flying Lessons for 14-Year-Olds
Paragon Flight offers flying lessons for all ages and aviation interests, including 14-year-olds.
Before 16, students can only take lessons; they can’t fly solo.
You must be 16 to get a student pilot certificate, but if you want to fly a balloon or glider, you can get your student pilot certification at age 14 as long as you can speak, read, and understand English.
If you have a teen in your household who is determined to become a pilot, introductory flight lessons are appropriate. Lessons from Paragon Flight can nurture your child’s interest and even help them realize their dreams sooner.
At Paragon Flight, you’ll find safe and fun experiences. From the aircraft that we use to the flight instructors we have on staff, every element of flight training will calm your worries as training proceeds.
The Paragon Flight aircraft training fleet includes the following models:
- Piper PA28 “Pilot” – primary aircraft used for single-engine flight training
- PA-44 Seminole – primary aircraft used for multi-engine flight training
- Cirrus SR20 – specialty aircraft used for primary training, high-performance endorsements, transition and differences training, and aircraft rentals for single or multiple days
- ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator – ultra-realistic simulation unit used for practical training without the expense of airplane rental.
Each piece of equipment we offer is the standard for training in that area. It operates safely and predictably and helps students transfer their knowledge to new experiences.
Our staff of flight instructors includes a diverse group of qualified pilots with the training and skills needed to help others develop the ability to operate an aircraft safely. The team here at Paragon Flight includes professionals with the necessary credentials to help pilots master single-engine, instrument, and multi-engine flight.
Paragon Flight operates out of three different flight training homes. Our facilities are found in Page Field (FMY) out of Fort Myers, FL; Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL; and LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA. The region where we operate offers excellent conditions for flight all year long, season in and season out. The two locations in Florida enjoy 350+ days of excellent conditions for takeoff and landing, and the Georgia location enjoys 300+ days of perfect conditions for flight training.
Each of our flight training homes provides access to tower-controlled runways, several practice airfields, and modern facilities that will provide students with convenience and comfort.
Nothing will hinder our students’ training or safety—not the weather, the aircraft, the trainers, or any other training element.
