FAA-Approved Programs

How Do I Get a Commercial Multi-Engine License?

At Paragon, we operate under both FAA Part 61 and Part 141, providing the flexibility to choose a fast-tracked or self-paced approach that suits your lifestyle and goals.

CMEL Add-On Course

If you already hold your Commercial Single-Engine Land (CSEL) certificate, our Multi-Engine Add-On course is fast and focused, allowing for certification in under a week. You’ll complete:

  • 11–15 hours of multi-engine flight time
  • 5 hours of ground instruction
  • 1.5 hours dedicated to your FAA checkride
  • All necessary study and training materials included

You’ll train on our Piper PA‑44 Seminole, a reliable, glass-cockpit-equipped twin-engine aircraft. The course emphasizes multi-engine aerodynamics and teaches you how to confidently handle a one-engine inoperative (OEI) scenario.

Professional Pilot Program

If you’re new to flying or starting with limited hours, our P3 – Professional Pilot Program

takes you from your first lesson all the way to your CSEL certification. You’ll move through these streamlined phases:

  1. Weeks 0–10: Private Pilot License (PPL)
  2. Weeks 11–18: Instrument Rating (IFR)
  3. Weeks 19–30: Commercial Single & Multi-Engine Land (CSEL & CMEL)
  4. Weeks 31–38: Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

With consistently favorable weather in Florida and a modern fleet, this program runs efficiently all year long, allowing P3 students to complete their training in just 10 months.

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional training, and that starts with our people, our technology, and our commitment to you. When you train at Paragon, your journey begins with a comprehensive prescreening process. We take time to understand your current experience, career objectives, availability, and learning preferences.

From there, we create a customized training plan that balances efficiency and practical proficiency, so you don’t waste time or money on unnecessary hours. You will also receive a detailed, transparent breakdown of your entire path, from key milestones to total estimated costs.

Complementing your in-aircraft experience, our FAA-certified ALSIM full-motion flight simulators allow you to safely practice emergency scenarios, instrument procedures, and complex maneuvers in a controlled environment. These simulators are of the same type used by airlines and commercial operators worldwide.

We utilize the industry-renowned Jeppesen training system, trusted by airlines and flight schools worldwide. Known for reducing training time by up to 30% while enhancing skill retention, this approach enables you to learn more quickly and effectively.
