How Long Does It Take To Become A Pilot?
When Paragon Flight answers potential pilots wondering how long does it take to become a pilot, we base our response on the individual student. While mandated rules govern flight training, we can cater to the student who has full-time availability and the desire to finish as quickly as possible as well as the adult learner who may approach training piece by piece.
The FAA governs flight school operations under FAR Parts 141 and 61, and most flight schools have privileges under one or the other. Paragon Flight is in the position to offer both levels of training – the prescribed, rigid syllabus-driven Part 141 program and the more flexible Part 61 option.
The top priority of Paragon Flight is to earn the loyalty of our students by providing excellent experiences and training. Pilots who matriculate from Paragon Flight are known to be safe, ready, and skilled, able to perform in the aircraft they’re licensed to operate.
We offer a wide range of flight training programs – including those for private, commercial, and military pilots.
Whether you choose the Paragon Flight in Fort Myers, FL, Punta Gorda, FL, or LaGrange, GA, the weather will be spot-on for flight training. Our students don’t have to worry about scheduling issues interrupting their training due to weather or equipment issues. The locations are also proximal to metropolitan areas that allow for affordable accommodations and plenty of activities and attractions.
The aircraft that we provide our team for training is top-notch, new, and cared for by FAA-authorized mechanics. The fleet includes a Piper PA28 “Pilot,” a PA44 Seminole, a Cirrus SR20, and an ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator. The fleet has you covered whether you want to learn single-engine, multi-engine, or specialty flight. The simulator even allows you to save money while practicing skills in various aircraft and flight environments.
Try on the Experience
If you’d like to try flight training before you make a commitment to a larger program, consider a Discovery Flight package. We will provide you with a short one-hour ground training session followed by a flight experience where you can control the aircraft. Afterward, you’ll decide if the experience is worth your time and money and nail down all of the details with our Head Flight Instructor. We’ll curate a training package that addresses your goals, schedule, finances, and availability.
This opportunity is also an excellent gift for someone who enjoys once-in-a-lifetime experiences more than gifts of material objects. Allow our team to create memories for your loved one and perhaps even inspire a new passion!
If you already know that aviation is for you and you’d like to pursue it professionally, consider the P3 Program. It’s 38 weeks long and allows participants to earn their Private Pilot License (PPL), Commercial Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Licenses (CSEL and CMEL), and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) credentials. This accelerated course is for the driven, hard-working future pilot who wants to save money and reach their goals quickly.
