Is Florida a Good Place to Learn to Fly?
Florida is an excellent place to learn to fly, and Paragon Flight is one of the best flight schools in all of Florida. About ⅕ of all the world’s aviators were Florida-trained. The state is number one in flight training, with the runner-up far behind. Read on to learn why Florida is the choice of training locations for pilots worldwide and why Paragon Flight deserves to be your choice among all the options within the Sunshine State.
Reasons Florida Tops the Aviation Training Globe
With hundreds of airports ranging in scale from international airports to smaller county-owned facilities, Florida offers many opportunities for pilots looking for a runway. Flight training can continue without delay when an abundance of available runways allows for logging the practice time required to master skills.
You might think that airspace would be congested with airports. However, the opposite is true. Florida offers opportunities for pilots to practice in congestion-free and heavily trafficked areas, depending on the level of training the pilot has reached. Florida’s shape and size allow for plenty of airspace as well as a short distance between airfields. The result is ideal airspace for all student pilots and established pilots.
Yet another reason Florida enjoys Goldilocks status among pilots is the weather! Sunny skies and warm temperatures year-round make Florida an excellent option for flight training. Over 350 days of ready-for-takeoff weather means that flight hours don’t have to be delayed due to circumstances beyond our control.
Flight training requires flight instructors and flight training aircraft. In Florida, you can find a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and a bevy of flight training aircraft at every turn. The diversity of the flight instructors in the region allows students to find the perfect instructor to complement their goals.
