Most Popular States For Flight Training In The U.S.

From Arizona to California, Virginia, and beyond, the debate rages about which is best among the most popular states for flight training in the U.S. Paragon Flight, one of the top flight schools in the country, recommends choosing locations where the conditions complement your plans no matter the month on the calendar.

Paragon Flight operates with three different flight school locations. Our flagship location is at Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL, and we have two satellite locations, one at Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL, and the other at LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA. We chose these locations because they offer the sunshine and clear skies our students need to log flight time without interruptions and cancellations caused by poor weather conditions.

A side benefit of choosing these locations is the abundance of experienced and qualified flight instructors in the area. Whether you plan to work as an airline pilot or fly the family on weekend trips, the flight instructor pool that we have available has a depth of diverse experiences. We can also provide the best-fit match. If you find that the learning style or personality clash between you and your instructor hinders your progress, let us know, and we’ll provide a new instructor.

Paragon Flight believes that you should choose the states where we operate, Georgia and Florida, for the reasons stated below, but that’s not all. Why not choose these states because that’s where you’ll find Paragon Flight? We offer every single element needed for flight training, and we’ll curate a program to help you reach your goals expeditiously and affordably.

One program that we’d like to draw your attention to is the P3 Program, designed for professionally motivated pilots who want to work for an airline in the future. This program leverages quality training over quantity, professional development, and assistance in locating appropriate financing to help aspiring pilots take advantage of the unprecedented opportunities for professional pilots. As an entire generation of pilots retires and the demand for flight reaches an all-time high, airlines need pilots, and we want to help fill that need with Paragon Flight students.

The P3 Program breaks training down into four stages. The first ten weeks are devoted to Private Pilot License (PPL) training. This stage is essential for all future success because it stresses good habits and foundational knowledge.

Second, the Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) requires eight weeks of training. These skills allow pilots to fly in conditions beyond visual flight, requiring them to use navigation and communication systems and tools.

The next phase is the longest, at twelve weeks, but it prepares students for the examinations required for Commercial Single-Engine and Multi-Engine Licenses (CSEL/CMEL). By the end of this phase, students have mastered their skills to the standards of a professional.

Lastly, we offer an entry point into the industry with Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) training. Flight instructors rack up logged flight time, make a living, and do what they love while perfecting their skills.
