Working as an airline pilot is often the ultimate dream for those with atmospherically directed ambitions. Recently, the demand for airline pilots has grown dramatically as flight passengers have reached an all-time high and an entire generation of experienced pilots retires. We at Paragon Flight have responded by curating the P3 Program, which is meant to help pilots reach an advanced level of capability quickly and affordably.
Paragon Flight’s Professional Pilot Program is 38 weeks long and has four training phases. To participate, you’ll need to meet specific prerequisites, including all of the following:
- Age – 18 years old, minimum
- Education – high school diploma or GED recipient, some college preferred
- Character references – one professional + one personal
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – clean
- Criminal background check – clean
- FAA record – clean
- Behavioral and cognitive evaluation – passed
- FAA Medical Certificate – 1st Class
- Language – Fluent and literate in the English language
- Availability – Full-Time, able to participate in 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training weekly)
- Character traits – integrity, work ethic, and ambition.
` We hold these stringent requirements because of the intensity of the program. It’s not easy to complete a training program like the P3 Program, but the graduates definitely reap the benefits.
Paragon Flight’s Timeline
- Stage One – PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE (PPL), 0-10 weeks

- Preparation for a career based on good habits and best practices
- Introduction to avionics, aircraft systems, weather, and other essential elements of flight

- Stage Two – INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RATING (IFR), 11-18 weeks

- Communication and navigation systems training
- Preparation to fly in IFR conditions – in all weather and at higher altitudes
- Essential for every professional pilot

- Stage Three – COMMERCIAL LICENSE, SINGLE-ENGINE AND MULTI-ENGINE (CSEL/CMEL), 19-30 weeks

- Preparation for pilots to operate with the skill and safety required of professionals
- Required for pilots to accept payment for their services
- Includes training for single-engine and multi-engine aircraft

- Stage Four – CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI), 31-38 weeks

- Training for commercial pilots to be able to train new pilots.
By graduating from the P3 Program, you shorten the duration of your training and save money on training expenses. However, these benefits aren’t the only ones. Pilots who graduate are armed with all the training they need to enter the commercial aviation field. Additionally, serving as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) allows pilots to log flight time while earning a paycheck, growing in skill, sharing their passion, and enjoying their day-to-day work.
Paragon Flight has three locations for our students’ convenience. Our primary location is Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL, and we have two satellite locations: Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL, and LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA.
