What Are The Top Cities To Learn To Fly?

Calling future pilots! Discover what Paragon Flight knows that makes our chosen locations the top cities for students planning to learn to fly.

Paragon Flight has three locations, and we’ve chosen the sites strategically to maximize the results for our students.

What Are The Top Cities To Learn To Fly?Our flagship location is Page Field (FMY), a general aviation center in Fort Myers, FL. It acts as a regional reliever airport for RSW—Southwest Florida International Airport. Page Field is proximal to Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, etc., and has access to 150+ airports that feature tower-controlled runways and airspaces with varying congestion levels.

The other Paragon Flight Center in Florida is Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). It’s located off of I-75 on the southwest coast of Florida near Fort Myers, Sarasota, and beyond. Travelers often use this airport as a route to the Caribbean.

Paragon Flight’s most recent satellite location is LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA. This location is ideal because it is close to Atlanta, Columbus, Montgomery, and Birmingham.

Our locations provide tower-controlled runways, plenty of airfields for practice, nearby accommodations that suit all budgets, and weather allowing takeoff and landing all year.

Award-Worthy Flight Training

Paragon Flight’s work is award-winning for a reason. Historically, we’ve won numerous honors from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) for our excellent experiences, training, and instructors. As a leading advocate for aviation, when the AOPA recognizes a group’s achievements, it’s worth taking a second look at what they offer. We provide comprehensive flight training for pilots with personal, professional, and military instructional needs.

Dual FAA FAR Authorizations

The FAA authorizes flight schools under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 141 and 61, and most schools operate under one or the other. Paragon Flight follows both sets of regulations, so you can be confident in our practices, facilities, and equipment quality since we qualify as a Part 141 program. Part 141 courses follow prescribed syllabi, and Part 61 programs allow for greater flexibility.

Another difference that sets Paragon Flight apart from other flight schools is the scope and quality of our aircraft fleet. The fleet consists of the following units:

  • Single-engine flight training – Piper PA28 “Pilot”
  • Multi-engine flight training – PA-44 Seminole
  • Primary specialty flight training, high-performance endorsements, aircraft transition/differences training, and rentals – Cirrus SR20
  • Uber realistic simulated practice with varied aircraft systems and environments for flight, Glass Cockpit tech, and more – ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator.

Pilots find a vast catalog of flight training available here at Paragon Flight, including preparation for a Private Pilot License (PPL), Instrument Flight Rating (IFR), Commercial Single-Engine License (CSEL), Commercial Multi-Engine License (CMEL), Air Transport Pilot (ATP), and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). We also provide basic training prep, team scenario training, helicopter transition training, and more.

Combine our stellar equipment and facilities with the instructors and Jeppsen curriculum available at Paragon Flight, and you’ll be prepared for success.
