What Is Needed To Become A Pilot?
If you’re ready to leave the passenger seat behind and take on the cockpit, contact the team at Paragon Flight. We have the training needed to help you become the pilot you want to be in what time you have available. A curated program with Paragon Flight offers individual student pilots a path that responds to goals, schedules, budgetary concerns, learning styles, and more.
The FAA-authorized flight lessons that we offer can lead to fun as a licensed private pilot or a successful career as a commercial pilot in whatever vein you choose. Our team will respond to your queries with professionalism and consideration, and we’ll provide a best-fit instructor match, one-on-one training, and other customizations needed for success.
Paragon Flight operates out of three different locations. We call Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, FL; Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda, FL; and LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, GA, home. These facilities provide our students with modern facilities, tower-controlled runways, various degrees of airfield congestion, outstanding weather for flight all year long, and proximity to metropolitan areas with an array of accommodations and attractions.
Our experience as a top-notch flight school has taught us what works and what doesn’t. Allow us to provide you with an incredible experience that is fun and sufficient for leading you to being a safe and prepared pilot.
The aircraft that we have in our fleet are ideal for flight training:
- Piper PA28 “Pilot” – single-engine flight training
- PA-44 Seminole – multi-engine flight training
- Cirrus SR20 – primary instruction, high-performance endorsements, specialty training, aircraft transition/differences training, and rentals
- ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator – ultra-realistic simulated practical experiences for a variety of aircraft and flight environments.
The flight instructors on staff here at Paragon Flight have a diversity of experiences and backgrounds. We want to be able to provide training that works for our students, so if you find that the instructor assigned isn’t the best, let us know so that we can provide a more appropriate trainer.
Our curriculum is also key to the success of our students. Jeppesen, a subsidiary of Boeing, is one of the best aviation companies in the world, and we’re proud to be selected as a user of the computer-based program.
At Paragon Flight, we offer a wide range of flight programs. If you’re motivated by personal goals, come to our flight schools to earn your Private Pilot License (PPL), Instructor Flight Rating (IFR), or Multi-Engine License (MEL). We can also provide you with a bit of training if you’d like to learn how to use Glass Cockpit avionics or fly Cirrus-series aircraft.
Professionally motivated pilots can also come to our team for success. Continue past being a private pilot to training for your Commercial Single-Engine or Multi-Engine License (CSEL/CMEL) or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification. An excellent entry point into the career is working as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and you can build up your documented flight hours while making a living, honing your skills, and sharing your passion for aviation.
