Paragon Flight Training – My 20-Year Reflection

As Paragon Flight Training commemorates its 20th anniversary,

I find myself reflecting with gratitude on both the organization’s journey and my own path over the past 17 years. Since joining Paragon in late 2009, my role has evolved alongside the company, allowing me to support a wide range of operational needs as we have grown. It has been especially meaningful to see how much Paragon has grown while continuing to prioritize the people and values that define who we are. Today, as co-owner alongside Chris Schoensee and Chief Flight Instructor Jeff Wolf, I am thankful for the perspective gained through these experiences and for the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of Paragon Flight.

Anniversaries provide a meaningful opportunity to pause and appreciate the people and experiences that shape an organization. Reaching this 20-year milestone is both professionally and personally significant. While business ownership naturally brings challenges and responsibilities, it is the people, our team members, students, alumni, partners, and supporters who make Paragon a truly rewarding place to work. The culture that has developed over the years reflects a shared commitment not only to excellence in flight training, but also to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

The joy of flight remains the foundation of our mission, but it is the strength of our community that continues to distinguish Paragon Flight. We are proud that so many individuals choose to train or work here not only for the quality of instruction, but also because they value being part of a professional, welcoming, and encouraging environment. Twenty years in, we remain focused on building upon that foundation and strengthening the culture that has supported our growth. A special acknowledgment to our newer locations for the new layers of history they are adding to the Paragon story.

When visiting our LaGrange, Georgia location, I am reminded of Paragon’s early years in Fort Myers; modest facilities, a small fleet, and a dedicated team working diligently to support aspiring pilots. While each location develops its own character, the shared commitment to professionalism and student success reflects the values that define Paragon Flight.

Our Punta Gorda location has also experienced significant growth in a relatively short period of time. The continued development of our expanded space at Punta Gorda Airport reflects our commitment to providing an environment that supports both operational excellence and an exceptional training experience.

As we move through our 20th year, I remain appreciative of the opportunity to contribute in a variety of ways to the continued success of Paragon Flight. Whether working directly with students or supporting operations behind the scenes, I am proud to be part of an organization dedicated to providing a high-quality training experience for those pursuing their aviation goals.

To everyone who has been part of Paragon Flight’s story — employees, students, partners, and supporters — thank you for contributing to the strong foundation that has made this milestone possible.
