How Much Are Flight Lessons?
Interested in flight lessons but concerned about how much they are? Paragon Flight gets it. We understand that the expense of a flight education can be an obstacle to many interested in the cockpit. We also know that the best way to handle financial challenges to flight training is to schedule a consultation and discuss the various financial resources that may apply to the individual student’s situation. Don’t give up on your dreams because of money concerns: call Paragon Flight.
Overcoming Financial Challenges to Flight Training
The cost of flight training will depend on the level of training that interests you and the time required to complete it. For this reason, we suggest that the inexperienced pilot begin with a Discovery Flight. This low-cost option will allow you to fall in love with the industry or recognize that the experience isn’t your cup of tea.
A Discovery Flight will include a “mini” lesson of ground training, a facility tour, a flight with the opportunity to control the aircraft if conditions allow, and a consultation with the Head Flight Instructor to curate a package for you individually that complements your goals, schedule, and finances. At this time, we will review every detail of the cost and make suggestions regarding resources.
Potential Resources for Flight Training Financing
If you don’t have a pocket full of dough for a complete flight training package, don’t worry. Many students use financing packages that allow them to invest in themselves for personal or professional reasons.
Student Financial Aid–Traditional students who would like to operate as professional pilots can attend Paragon Flight with their financial aid packages of student loans and grants. Some aviation students can also qualify for aviation scholarships.
GI Benefits–Veterans with available GI funds for educational experiences can also attend Paragon Flight and use those funds. We are an FAA-authorized FAR Part 141 flight training institution.
Personal Financing—Whether you choose to withdraw from your retirement or savings or take out a loan with a personal lender, the nontraditional student can still access flight training. In fact, we have contacts with lenders with whom our students have had prior success that we would be happy to share. Ask our team for more information.
Save Money on Flight Training
If you’re determined to be a pilot and want to work at an airline one day, consider the Professional Pilot Program. Inspired by the demand for professional pilots in today’s economy, this program allows participants to complete training faster and cheaper without sacrificing quality, safety, or readiness.
The P3 Program covers 38 weeks, 4 phases, and 5 pilot credentials. By the end of the program, pilots will earn their Private Pilot License (PPL), Instrument Flight Rating (IFR), Commercial Single-Engine License (CSEL), Commercial Multi-Engine License (CMEL), and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) license.
To apply, you should meet the general training requirements for 18 years of age, a high school graduate or GED recipient, etc. However, you should also demonstrate the dedication and integrity needed to succeed in the program. We accept applicants on a case-by-case basis.
