Student pilots participating in this training can progress from zero experience to status as commercially licensed pilots with flight instructor credentials in fewer than ten months.

Do you have full-time availability and a willingness to work hard? You could be a good candidate for the P3 Program at Paragon Flight. The prerequisites for participation include all of the following:

  • 18 years old, minimum
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency (college preferred)
  • One professional + one personal character reference
  • Good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Passed cognitive and behavioral evaluation
  • Clean FAA record (no incidents, accidents, or enforcement actions)
  • FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate
  • Fluent and literate in English
  • Full-time availability (4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training weekly)
  • Integrity, drive, and work ethic.

The P3 Program includes 38 weeks of diligent training.

WEEKS 0-10

Private Pilot License (PPL) – this foundational stage of flight training provides a basis for aviation knowledge, professional best practices, and habits of a safe pilot. This license will permit you to fly a single-engine plane during visually clear conditions.

WEEKS 11-18

Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) – this phase trains a pilot to use the navigation and communication equipment within the aircraft. This skill is used regularly by commercial pilots.

WEEKS 19-30

Commercial License, Single-Engine and Multi-Engine (CSEL and CMEL) – this stage of the P3 Program enables pilots to work professionally, accepting compensation and operating with a mastery level of skill in single-engine and multi-engine planes.

WEEKS 31-38

Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – As a commercial pilot, you’ll be able to accept payment for your services. If you also become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), you’ll be able to make a living while accruing flight hours and sharing your passion for flight.

Prepare to fly in a lovely atmosphere that offers ideal flying conditions over 300 days of the year. We have three locations, two in Florida and one in Georgia, where we welcome students to modern facilities, runways with tower controls, and an array of practice airfields. Out students face obstacle-free conditions for practicing their skills.

The fleet of aircraft that we offer is similarly ideal for learning to fly. We employ the standard models for training, each equipped with Glass Cockpit technology and advanced avionics. For single-engine flight training, we provide the Piper PA28 “Pilot” and for twin-engine flight training, we provide the PA-44 Seminole.

If students are interested in high-performance endorsements, transition/differences training, or plane rentals, we offer the Cirrus SR20, and when students want the service of a high-performance simulator, we offer the ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator.
