The Difference That the Flight School Makes
Choosing the right flight school makes a significant difference in the results. Paragon Flight lives up to its reputation by ensuring that we provide the best Certified Flight Instructors, training aircraft, and curriculum. We also provide programs that cater to the demands of your lifestyle and ambitions.
Certified Flight Instructors
Fort Myers is the hub of aviation in Southwest Florida. Page Field is the region’s primary airport, and the weather welcomes takeoff year round. These attributes make pilots flock to the area like moths to a flame. We’re fortunate in that our students have plenty of opportunities to rack up hours in the sky, and we have a bounty of applicants for staffing the flight instructor pool. Our staff consists of the absolute best of the best Certified Flight Instructors (CFI/II/MEI).
Jeppesen Curriculum
Produced by a daughter company of Boeing, the Jeppesen Curriculum leads the aviation industry in training software and materials. This curriculum produces ready to fly pilots 30% faster than the national average and requires approval to employ.
Training Aircraft
All of the programs that we offer require aircraft for practical training, and we house appropriate aircraft for this training. Whether you’re at the stage of single-engine or multi-engine, we’re armed with aircraft for the purpose. Additionally, all of our aircraft are outfitted with Glass Cockpit technology and advanced avionics in order to qualify as Technically Advanced Aircraft.
Accolades, Honors, and Reputation
Paragon Flight’s reputation is one of expertise and personalized professionalism. Over the years, we’ve been honored by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) for the quality of our flight instruction. On a daily basis, we strive to surpass the standards that we set for ourselves and that have allowed us to be repeatedly recognized as one of the finest flight schools in the United States by the leading aviation advocacy group in the country.
Dual Authorization under Parts 61 and 141
The regulations that govern flight schools come from the FAA as FAR Parts. Parts 61 and 141 provide the rules regarding structure and pacing, and most flight schools will operate under one or the other, but Paragon Flight operates with both regulations ruling.
This status allows us to provide programs that are full-time and highly structured as well as those that are adjusted regarding pacing and content order.
The strictly structured Part 141 programs are mandated for pilots from foreign countries, students using federal financial aid, and veterans taking advantage of GI benefits. For pilots who lack full-time availability or long periods of availability, Part 61 programs that can be accelerated are far more appropriate and allow these established adults to pursue a second chapter.
