Next Steps

If you’d like to participate in our Professional Pilot Program, you’ll need to meet a few pre-qualifications, including the following:

  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • High school graduate or GED recipient (college preferred)
  • Two character references (One personal and one professional)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Pass an assessment of behavior and cognitive processes
  • Clean FAA record (no incidents, accidents, or other actions)
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Fluent and literate in the English language
  • Full-time availability (4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training per week)
  • Quality moral character, drive, and work ethic

Upon completion of the program, Paragon Flight gives pilots preferential hiring consideration as Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs). You can log flight hours as a flight instructor while earning a living. Documenting flight time faster here in Southwest Florida will speed up your acquisition of the 1,500 flight hours you’ll need to apply with an airline after earning your Airline Transport Pilot certification.
