Best Part 141 Flight Schools
Are you looking for the best Part 141 flight schools? If so, stop right here and consider Paragon Flight. We offer a superior program based on top-notch curriculum, experienced flight instructors, and the standard of high-quality aircraft for flight training. No matter where you find yourself on your journey of aviation education, rely on us to fulfill your needs.
As a flight school with FAA authorization under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 141, we’re able to welcome foreign and domestic pilot hopefuls. In addition, college students with financial aid packages and students who simply require greater structure and oversight for learning benefit from a Part 141 program.
The Difference between Part 141 and Part 61 Flight Programs
Paragon Flight is actually approved as both a Part 141 and a Part 61 flight school, so we’re able to meet the needs of every aviation candidate. The programs, while providing the same result, differ in a few requirements and in structure. However, the license received and the FAA measurements and check rides remain the same.
Part 61 flight programs allow for flexible rearrangement of pacing and order, but Part 141 programs follow a strict schedule and curriculum.
FYI for Foreign Flight Students
The Department of Homeland Security requires that non-resident, non-US citizens attend a Part 141 flight school as a student with an M-1 Student Visa. We will provide the I-20 Form required for students completing this application. Students who are coming to Paragon Flight for a private pilot certification, single- or multi-engine commercial pilot certification, or an instrument add-on rating must follow these requirements.
Foreign pilots who are already certified will not need to obtain an M-1 Student Visa to participate in proficiency checks, certification conversions, or recurrent training. Currently certified pilots can also rent aircraft from Paragon Flight without obtaining an M-1 student visa.
If you’re a non-citizen with permanent resident status in the US, you will just need TSA authorization, not an M-1 visa.
Why Choose Paragon Flight
Paragon Flight calls Page Field in Fort Myers, FL, home. Here, our students enjoy beautiful, flight-friendly weather all year long; a tower-controlled runway at the hub of general aviation in Southwest Florida; several practice airfields; and accommodations that run the gamut from basic to 5-star.
Additional opportunities in the air allow our students to complete their flight hour requirements faster than with flight schools in other areas of the country.
Students at Paragon Flight learn to fly and log flight hours in aircraft designed for safety, predictability, and adaptability. All of our aircraft are incredibly well kept and qualified as TAA, or Technically Advanced Aircraft. The fleet itself includes all of the following:
- Piper PA28 “Pilot”
- Cessna C172S Skyhawk
- Piper PA-44-180 Seminole
- Cessna T182T Skylane
- Cirrus SR20 G6
- Cirrus SR22 G5/G6
- ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator
The instruction provided at Paragon Flight is similarly top-notch. The Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) here come from diverse backgrounds with a high-degree of experience and training. The curriculum that we use is also the absolute best, developed by Jeppesen, a subsidiary of the Boeing corporation. This methodology, software, and other materials are proven to produce qualified pilots 30% faster than the national average.
