Paragon Flight is a dually authorized flight school that operates under the FAA authorization of Parts 61 and 141. Part 61 schools promote flexibility and custom-designed programs while Part 141 schools follow a set schedule and curriculum. The best flight training doesn’t have to cost a fortune or take years upon end to complete. Paragon Flight recognizes the industry’s need for professionals as well as the common challenges that face candidates. We’ve designed the P3 Professional Pilot Program to address common challenges to flight training. When pilots complete training faster, they also complete training less expensively.
The P3 Program requires 38 weeks for completion and is approached in four phases. The first ten weeks prepare students for Private Pilot licensing (PPL); the next eight weeks teach private pilots how to use navigation and communication technology within aircraft in a variety of conditions with an Instrument Flight Rating (IFR). The following twelve weeks offer preparation for earning commercial licensure in both single-engine and multi-engine aircraft (CSEL & CMEL). Finally, the last eight weeks prepare these commercial pilots to share their skills as Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs).
The role of Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is one of the most common entry level positions for pilots since it allows for the accumulation of flight time for airline pilot hopefuls while making a living pursuing their passion.
The total time required for this program is fewer than 10 months. Packing this much high-quality training into such an abbreviated time frame will require dedication to the task, so we demand that participants in the program meet specific expectations.
P3 Program participants must be 18 years old, fluent English communicators (written and verbal) with high school diplomas or the equivalent. Applicants need to supply two character references as well – one personal and one professional, as well as documentation of a clean motor vehicle record, FAA record, criminal background record, and behavioral/cognitive assessment. Participants will need a first-class FAA medical certificate and full-time availability. The program will require that pilots participate in 4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training each week.
