Cessna Flight School
Fulfill your dreams of becoming a pilot safely and efficiently with flight training in Cessna Aircraft at Paragon Flight. We offer individualized courses to facilitate every pilot’s ambitions no matter the starting point, time available, or learning style.
A well-known flight training center in Fort Myers, FL, Paragon Flight is well-respected and honored many times for the quality of its instructors and training experience by the foremost avionics advocate group, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). We have developed a system that is flexible and works for all, providing high-quality flight instructors, standard and well-kept Cessna aircraft, and a dedication to customizing programs for the individual student.
To discover whether your interest in flight should translate to a pursuit of aviation education, consider taking a Discovery Flight that will consist of an instructional period, a tour of the facility, and a flight with a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). You could even get the opportunity to grab the controls for yourself.
If you then decide to continue, reach out to qualify for participation and schedule a consultation with our Head Flight Instructor. During this meeting, we can arrange a custom program that will work for your pocketbook, calendar, and preferences.
Begin at the Beginning
Beginning student-pilots generally learn in the Cessna C172S Skyhawk, the standard aircraft for training due to its safety, predictable handling, and advanced equipment. This aircraft has lower speeds required during takeoff and landing, and for this reason, it is often preferred by trepidatious student-pilots and instructors.
Our fleet is filled with various aircraft designed for the courses that we offer, and for single-engine flight training, that aircraft is the Cessna C172S. The features of this aircraft include the Garmin G1000 Glass Cockpit avionics package, a GPS system, Garmin autopilot, Garmin GTX330 with TIS, leather seats, and more.
The other aircraft models we house include the Piper PA28 “Pilot,” Piper PA-44-180 Seminole, Cessna T182T Skylane, Cirrus SR20 G6, Cirrus SR22 G5/G6, and ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator. Each of these fleet members is impeccable, new, and qualified as a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA).
The Individualized Programs of Paragon Flight
Paragon Flight is able to welcome all sorts of students, both foreign and domestic. The training that we offer is authorized by the FAA under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 141 and 61. Part 141 programs are structured and follow specific pacing and order, and for Part 61 programs, this structure can be modified to better suit individual scheduling and learning needs. Whether you participate in one program or the other, the checkride and written measurements from the FAA will be the same, as will be the resulting certifications.
It’s important to note that international students, veterans using GI benefits, and students with financial aid packages must participate in a Part 141 program. Those student-pilots with busy lives and obligations will be better suited to Part 61 programs.
Foreign students who would like to participate in our pilot training programs will need an M-1 student visa, and we will be happy to provide the requisite I-20 forms.
Many different elements go into flight training and its cost. We encourage all pilot hopefuls to reach out to pose any queries they have about our operations and requirements.
