Our Aircraft Are Well-Maintained and Safe
Learning to fly in a safe and well-equipped Cessna 172 Skyhawk is the most common practice here at Paragon Flight. Student pilots prefer this well-known single engine aircraft because of its lower speeds during takeoff and landing. It is the worldwide leader for flight training, and more pilots have launched their dreams in it than in any other aircraft.
Other features found within our fleet of Cessna 172s include:
- A top-of-the-line Garmin G1000 glass cockpit avionics package
- GPS system
- Garmin autopilot
- Garmin GTX 330 with TIS (traffic information services)
- Leather seats
- Much more
Other training aircraft in our fleet include the Cessna Stationair 206, the Cirrus SR20 and SR22, and the Piper PA-44 Seminole. The Cessna Stationair 206 is larger and faster than its little brother, the 172, and is able to cruise at speeds of up to 170 kts while burning only 15 gallons of fuel per hour. This craft is great for longer flights and has passenger space to accommodate trips with family and friends.
Our Programs Are Open and Customized
At Paragon Flight, we welcome American and international students. We can provide a training program that meets your schedule and your experience level, and your flight instructor will have extensive training to improve your experience.
Expectations about Our Program
The timetable for becoming a pilot is entirely up to you. You can pursue your certification on your own schedule. We offer two programs, both of which are approved by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR). Part 61 programs offer a greater degree of flexibility, and the Part 141 program pursues a stricter classroom-based approach. The costs are about the same for both programs, and they are both based upon FAA Airman Certification Standards.
A variety of factors affect the cost of your flight training. Prospective students can find financing with We Florida Financial, a lending organization that works with our students through a program called We Fly. Eligible veterans can also use the Post 9/11 GI bill to pay for flight training in a Part 141 Program.
