Private Pilot License versus Commercial Pilot License
A Commercial Pilot License (CSEL/CMEL) allows pilots to fly for professional purposes. Without this license, it’s illegal for pilots to accept payment for flight services. Roles within the aviation field are abundant. Pilots may work for an airline as a captain or co-captain, for a cargo delivery service like UPS or FedEx, for a farm as a crop duster, for the government or military, as a private pilot, and so much more.
Many pilots work as flight instructors, especially when they enter the profession, because the role allows them to accrue flight hours needed when applying for future credentials and positions.
Paragon Flight operates under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 61 and 141, so we can provide highly structured programs and more flexible courses for our students. One program that we offer is designed for ambitious pilot hopefuls with aspirations to work as airline pilots: the P3 Professional Pilot Program.
