Timeline of the P3 Professional Pilot Program

0-10 WEEKS – Private Pilot License (PPL)

Start from zero and earn your Private Pilot License (PPL) in 10 weeks during the first phase of the P3 Program. This phase forms the basis for all future training and allows pilots to develop positive professional attributes.

11-18 WEEKS – Instrument Flight Rating (IFR)

An Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) will allow you to begin flying in conditions that require the use of communication and navigation equipment. 19-30 WEEKS – Commercial Pilot License, Single Engine and Multiple Engine (CSEL and CMEL)

During the third phase, you will learn, to mastery levels, the skills and process understanding needed to fly professionally in either a single-engine or multi-engine aircraft. By the culmination of this phase, you’ll be prepared to pass the FAA measurements and have the credentials required for accepting compensation as a pilot.

31-38 WEEKS – Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

Once you have the credentials to work as a professional pilot, this final phase will provide you with the perfect entry point into the field for three reasons:

  • Make a living while pursuing your flight passion;
  • Perfect your skills while training others;
  • Accumulate the 1,500 flight hours required to apply as an airline pilot.
