Commercial Flight Training Schools Sarasota, Florida

If dreams beckon you to the cockpit as an office, commercial pilot training will come first, and Sarasota flight schools pale compared to the experience you’ll have with Paragon Flight in Southwest Florida. The P3 Professional Pilot Program will facilitate faster and less expensive training.

Commercial Flight Training Schools Sarasota, FloridaParagon Flight operates under Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 61 and 141, as put forth by the FAA. Part-time and full-time students come to us for training because we can provide both types of training. Whether you prefer a one-on-one training program designed specifically around your own schedule or require a Part 141 program to meet the rules of certain financial resources, we can provide such programs.

Our efforts are always driven by the needs of our students, and we provide all of the elements required to provide stellar flight training.

Advantages of Training with Paragon Flight

Southwest Florida is the home of Paragon Flight. We have two locations – one at Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers, the region’s general aviation hub, and the other at the Punta Gorda Airport (PGA). Both locations provide our student pilots access to tower-controlled runways and numerous practice airfields.

The physical access to flight time is met with participating weather. The skies are clear for takeoff and landing over 350 days of the year, so student pilots aren’t limited by weather challenges. Flight time is a critical element of career progression. Airline pilots, for instance, need to log 1,500 hours of flight time before applying for a position.

The primary aspects of flight training – instructors, aircraft, and curriculum – at Paragon Flight are ideally created and held to rigorous standards.

  • Instructors – the flight-perfect conditions draw experienced lovers of aviation, so we have a wealth of applicants and are able to provide the best flight instructors in the world;
  • Aircraft – a fleet of TAA (Technically Advanced Aircraft) equipped with advanced avionics and Glass Cockpit technology:
    • Primary Training Aircraft
      • Piper PA28 “Pilot”
      • PA-44 Seminole
    • Specialty Training Aircraft
      • Cessna T182T Skylane
      • Cirrus SR20
      • Cirrus SR22 G5/G6
      • ALSIM Flight Simulator
  • Curriculum – produced by a subsidiary of Boeing, the Jeppesen curriculum is proven to produce ready pilots 30% faster than the national average.

Advantages of the P3 Professional Pilot Program

The P3 Professional Pilot Program at Paragon Flight leverages quality of training over quantity, access to financing resources, and development of professional characteristics. By the end of the program, candidates are commercially licensed pilots with flight instructor certification.

Timeline:

  • 0-10 Weeks, Private Pilot License (PPL) – the basis for all further training; participants develop best practices essential to safe, skilled, and appealing pilots;
  • 11-18 Weeks, Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) – next phase that allows student pilots to master the use of navigation and communication systems;
  • 19-30 Weeks, Commercial License, Single Engine & Multi-Engine (CSEL & CMEL) – the phase that prepares pilots to operate on a commercial basis in both single-engine and multi-engine aircraft;
  • 31-38 Weeks, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – the final phase prepares pilots with the skills needed to appropriately share aviation skills with others.

Entering the aviation industry as a CFI is an excellent choice for several reasons – the opportunity to do what you love for a living, hone your craft, log flight hours, and share your passion! P3 participants who complete the program and then apply with us to be flight instructors actually have preferential consideration.
