Commercial Pilot School Kennesaw, GeorgiaTo fly charters, spray crops, haul cargo, or work for an airline, you’ll need a Commercial Pilot License (CPL). The P3 Professional Pilot Program prioritizes quality, financial counseling, and leadership development throughout the 38-week course. This fast-tracked program requires that participants be dedicated and fulfill all of these requirements:

  • A minimum of 18 years old
  • High school graduate or GED recipient (college preferred)
  • Two character references – one professional, one personal
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Clean criminal background check
  • Pass a behavioral and cognitive measurement
  • Clean FAA record
  • FAA First-Class Medical Certificate
  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Full-time availability (4-5 flight lessons and 10-20 hours of ground training each week)
  • Strong work ethic, drive, and moral character

Completing the program in fewer than ten months is an ambitious undertaking. Paragon Flight breaks the P3 Professional Pilot Program down into four phases.

Private Pilot (PPL) – 0-10 WEEKS – foundational training for habit, skill, and best practice development

Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) – 11-18 WEEKS – communication and navigation systems training

Commercial License, Single-Engine & Multi-Engine (CSEL & CMEL) – 19-30 WEEKS – mastery of skills flying single and twin-engine aircraft to the degree expected of a professional pilot

Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – 31-38 WEEKS – instructional methods training

Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) can kill two birds with one stone by earning a living while accumulating flight time and sharing their passion. Upon completion of this program, you’ll have a range of aviation credentials that entitle you to fly commercially for pay, even in the role of flight instructor. Depending on your further goals, you may need to acquire additional flight hours, which you’ll be able to do when acting as a flight instructor.
