In Punta Gorda, Paragon Flight operates out of Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), and we also have a location at Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers. The weather in this region welcomes regular practical training, and the more you’re able to train, the faster you can complete training. Our student-pilots enjoy clear-for-takeoff conditions over 350 days of the year.

The training program that we implement relies on the training standards of the industry. We house the Piper PA28 “Pilot” and PA-44 Seminole as primary training aircraft and the Cessna T182T Skylane, Cirrus SR20, Cirrus SR22 G5/G6, and ALSIM Flight Simulator as specialty training aircraft. Expect to use Glass Cockpit Technology when flying our aircraft. We want our students to be able to transfer what they learn here into new situations and new aircraft throughout the course of their careers.

Flying with Paragon Flight allows you to gain a wide range of certifications and ratings. Become a private or professional pilot, master a single-engine and twin-engine aircraft, and pursue further training.
One of the key programs that we offer is the P3 Professional Pilot Program. It will promote a pilot from no experience to professional pilot status with flight certification. The course has four phases:
- 0-10 Weeks, Private Pilot License (PPL) – foundational
- 11-18 Weeks, Instrument Flight Rating (IFR) – communication and navigation
- 19-30 Weeks, Commercial License, Single Engine & Multi Engine (CSEL & CMEL) – mastery of skills
- 31-38 Weeks, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) – train to teach others
If the speed of this program intrigues you, consider whether you have what it takes. We require participants to have full-time availability and a strong work ethic. You should also be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or GED as a minimum education requirement. Other prerequisites include having a clean driving record, FAA record, and criminal background. Pass a behavioral and cognitive evaluation, obtain a first-class FAA medical certificate, and establish your proficiency with the English language in order to participate.
