Fixed Wing Flight Schools in FloridaFlorida is a popular place for pilots. The skies are clear for takeoff and landing 350+ days of the year, and the sights from the cockpit are absolutely majestic. The conditions as a haven for pilots make the area an ideal location for flight schools. Paragon Flight has two locations in Southwest Florida – one in Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers and the other in Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda. We also have a location in LaGrange, GA, at the LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC).

Another benefit of having a flight school in this area is the elite nature of our flight instructors. Pilots here enjoy the opportunity to accumulate flight time and do what they love while making a living. We choose the flight instructors whom we employ from a broad pool, rich with experience and diverse skills.

The curriculum that these flight instructors follow is world-class. We’re proud to be one of the few flight schools allowed to use the Jeppesen curriculum, developed by a subsidiary of Boeing and proven to produce prepared pilots in ⅓ of the time typical for pilots.

Flight training would be incomplete without appropriate equipment in which to experience training. Paragon Flight’s training fleet includes all of the standard training vehicles to ensure the safety and quality of the experience for student pilots. The Paragon Flight fleet includes the following aircraft:

  • Primary Training Aircraft
    • Piper PA28 “Pilot” – single-engine flight training
    • PA-44 Seminole – multi-engine flight training
  • Specialty Training Aircraft
    • Cirrus SR20 – primary flight instruction, transition/differences training, high-performance endorsements, and rentals for single days or multiple days
    • ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator – flight training without the expense of aircraft rental to perfect skills and accumulate flight time.

Paragon Flight is authorized by the FAA to provide flight training under two different Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) standards. We’re governed by FAR Parts 61 and 141, which makes it possible for us to provide both flexible programs and those with highly structured, prescribed syllabi. Whether you’re a university-aged student with full-time availability or limited to part-time availability due to competing obligations, we can provide a personalized program of flight training.
