Flight Training Orlando
Pursue flight training near Orlando at Paragon Flight in Fort Myers, FL. We provide outstanding, individualized courses for aspiring pilots through high-quality instructors, aircraft, curriculum, and environment. At the end of the course, you will be well-prepared for the FAA required evaluations and ready to carry on in your aviation endeavors.
The reputation of Paragon Flight is one of excellence, which we’ve worked diligently to create and deserve. The AOPA, or Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, has recognized us for the quality of our instructors and overall programs many times over the years, and we’re well-known as the premiere flight training school in the region.
Earning a Private Pilot Certificate
With a private pilot license, you will be able to operate a single-engine plane, carrying people or packages, but you will not be able to accept payment for these services. You can, however, legally split the costs of flight with your passengers, in the spirit of carpooling.
With the foundation developed during a private pilot course, you will be in a great position to further your education as a pilot. If you choose to, you can progress toward flying with instruments, flying a twin-engine aircraft, flying for a paycheck, or even flying while teaching others how to fly.
Flight Training Expectations
Paragon Flight aviation lessons take place in well cared for planes and overseen by Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) proven to be some of the best in the industry. On the same level is the curriculum that we use. The Jeppesen curriculum, developed by a Boeing subsidiary, is the absolute best, producing well-prepared pilots 30% faster than the national average.
Page Field (FMY), the airport out of which we operate, is the hub of commercial flight in Southwest Florida, so we have access to a tower-controlled runway. Numerous airports and practice airfields offer ample opportunity for students to document flight hours.
Another element that allows our students to document flight hours is the weather in the area. From spring to summer, winter, and fall, the weather is clear and beautiful. Student-pilots will be able to log flight hours on their own schedules.
The fleet of aircraft that we offer are as reliable as the weather. By employing the standard models for each particular program, Paragon Flight makes it possible for students to practice with us. This fleet includes all of the following aircraft:
- Piper PA28 “Pilot”
- Cessna C172S Skyhawk
- Piper PA-44-180 Seminole
- Cessna T182T Skylane
- Cirrus SR20 G6
- Cirrus SR22 G5/G6
- ALSIM AL172 Flight Simulator
Welcoming Students to Part 141 Programs
A FAR Part 141 Program is highly structured, with an approved curriculum and schedule. Students who learn best in the classroom with organization will do well in this program. In fact, some students require this type of program. Students who plan to use student loans or GI benefits, or international students must participate in a Part 141 program. Not only can we welcome students from foreign countries, but we can provide the I20 Form they will need to apply for an M1 Student Visa.
Since we’re also a Part 61 program, we can provide students who prefer a self-paced program with a personalized course. Family, job, and social obligations need not stand in the way of your flight training.
