It Does Matter Which School You Choose
All flight schools are not created equal. The primary components that most influence results include the quality of the Certified Flight Instructors, aircraft, and curriculum, and the ability of the school to work with your schedule, learning style, and personality.

Authorized Under Parts 61 and 141
Flight schools need authority by the FAA. The rules that the FAA uses to govern flight schools are called FAR, or Federal Aviation Regulations. Paragon Flight is both a Part 141 and Part 61 flight school. This dual authorization means that we can serve students flexibly with adjusted schedules and curriculum, or we can provide a full-time, strictly followed curriculum for students.
If you are an international student, college student, veteran using GI benefits, or a traditional learner, choose the Part 141 program.
If you come from the world of work where family and job obligations take much of your time, consider the Part 61 program.
If your dreams have you in the cockpit of an airliner, start with a commercial pilot license. You must have one to collect any payment for flying a plane.
All Paragon Flight student-pilots will need the following requirements:
- 18 years old
- Fluent and literate in the English language
- In possession of a private pilot license
- Second class medical certificate
- 250 flight hours under Part 61 program
The commercial pilot license program does culminate with a written exam followed by logging the requisite flight time. Before passing and receiving your license, you will have to pass a checkride where you demonstrate to an FAA evaluator that you can fly the plane safely and verbally answer questions regarding flight.
