IFR Training in Fort Myers Florida
Once you get your private pilot license, the next step you will want to think about is adding your instrument rating. Without an instrument rating, you will be restricted to flying under VFR rules (looking out the windows). Less than perfect flying weather can cause you to cancel flights or worry about what to do when the weather suddenly changes on your long-distance flight, but adding your IFR instrument rating will put your mind at ease.
Paragon Flight’s instrument rating course is FAA Part 141 approved and has met the FAA’s highest standards. Our highly experienced IFR training instructors have thousands of hours under their belts. They are nationally accredited Master Instructors and Gold Seal Flight Instructors who are dedicated to safety and quality. Paragon Flight’s instrument rating courses are designed for Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), which means you will get the most advanced IFR training available.
Getting your IFR rating is less costly than you think and can be accomplished in a short time (less than 35 hours of ground and flight training). You’ll spend less money on your IFR training in our Tecnam P2006T which features the Garmin G950™ “glass cockpit” avionics package. This is the most advanced twin-engine aircraft in the world. The plane has powerful Rotax engines but is very lightweight, enabling it to burn only 10 gallons of fuel per hour compared to most twin-engine aircraft that burn two to three times the fuel. Fuel efficiency translates into lower costs for IFR training.
You can rely on the experience of Paragon Flight instructors when attempting to acquire your instrument rating. We customize your instrument rating course to suit your individual needs. You will learn the IFR requirements on the ground through simulator instruction and then try out what you’ve learned in the aircraft with your IFR instructor until you feel confident. No more worrying about inclement weather!
