Multi Engine Training Jacksonville, FL
Learn to fly multi engine aircraft safely in all conditions with training near Jacksonville, FL at Paragon Flight in Fort Myers. We are one of the foremost flight school programs in the United States, and we offer twin-engine training as part of the initial pilot certification or as an add-on rating program for an existing license.
Ready for Participation
Before signing up for a program with Paragon Flight, you will have to meet certain prerequisites as defined by the Federal Aviation Administration. These qualifications include FAA Medical approvals, age requirements, literacy and fluency in English, and proof of citizenship or TSA approval.
International students are welcome at Paragon Flight, since we are a Part 141 flight school. These students do have to attend as M-1 Student Visa holders, and we will provide the required I-20 Form if you’re applying for such.
Before receiving the appropriate licensing or rating, pilots will need to prove understanding and ability. A checkride administered by an FAA evaluator facilitates this demonstration as pilots have the opportunity to prove understanding verbally and ability in the sky.
Elements to Learn in a Multi-Engine Program
Whether you choose to participate in the Commercial Pilot Certification – Multi-Engine Program or a Multi-Engine Add-On Rating, you will already have the skills of a single-engine pilot under your command. In training with a twin-engine aircraft, we will build further on these skills.
Planes with more than one engine will handle differently than what you’re accustomed to as a single-engine pilot, and the hazards are also different. They’re heavier, faster, and more powerful. We will pay careful attention to making sure that you are prepared to react safely to all hazards, especially if one engine goes out, in all conditions.
