Pilot Training St. Petersburg, Florida
The award-winning pilot training at Paragon Flight near St. Petersburg, Florida provides the quality of instruction that will thoroughly prepare you for safe operations as a private or commercial pilot. We strive daily to consistently provide the level of instruction that has earned us repeated recognition from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
Paragon Flight welcomes aspiring pilots who wish to operate privately or commercially, who have full-time or part-time availability for training, and who have zero experience as well as those who’d like to transition to new aircraft.
Pilots come to us because we can fully meet them as they are, offering flexible customized programs as well as rigidly structured ones. We’re able to provide this diversity of program because we operate under FAA Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 61 and 141.
The Components of Winning Flight Instruction
Location
Paragon Flight set the table for our award-winning flight instruction by first establishing our home in Southwest Florida. We have two locations, operating out of Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) in Punta Gorda and Page Field (FMY) in Fort Myers. Our newest location is at LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC) in LaGrange, Georgia.
These locations provide our students with practice airfields and modern facilities. Best of all, the weather in this area allows our student-pilots to climb into the cockpit and gain practical experience more than 350 days of the year.
The beautiful coastal scenery and numerous attractions in the area provide pilots with incredible sights and experiences while going through training. Students will also find plenty of accommodations in a range of styles and at all price points.
Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs)
Another byproduct of the great location with which we’re blessed is the rich and deep flight instructor pool of applicants. We can provide flight instructors with expertise in your desired path and a diversity of environments. If you find that your assigned instructor doesn’t work with the way that you learn, we can provide a more appropriate replacement.
Flight Training Aircraft
Flight training requires appropriate aircraft for practice, and we provide just that. The entire Paragon Flight fleet qualifies as Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA), meaning that each aircraft features Glass Cockpit technology and advanced avionics. We utilize all of the following aircraft:
- Piper PA28 “Pilot” – used for single-engine flight instruction
- PA-44 Seminole – used for multi-engine flight instruction
- Cirrus SR20 – used for primary flight instruction, transition and differences training, high performance endorsements, and single and multiple day rentals
- ALSIM Flight Simulator – provides ultra-realistic simulated training.
Flight Training Curriculum
The third leg of the training process here at Paragon Flight is our curriculum. The Jeppesen curriculum, created by a subsidiary of the aviation leader Boeing, facilitates 30% faster training as compared to the national average. This program includes all of the software, manuals, and supplementary materials needed for a full training experience.
Flight Training Financing
Paying for financing might seem like an impossible prospect, leaving you to give up on the idea of flight training. However, we can help identify and secure appropriate financial resources – whether that is traditional student loans, grants, VA benefits, or personal loans.
